Complexhibit is a research project that studies art exhibitions as a means of complex cultural systemswhere institutions, people, objects, discourses and ideas interact dynamically. Combining Art History, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Network Science, it develops models and technological tools capable of analysing and visualising the exhibition ecosystem on a large scale. Its main result, Complexhibit 1.0will be an open knowledge system with structured and linked data (Linked Open Data), accessible to researchers, institutions and citizens, with the aim of broadening the understanding of the art system and fostering cultural and social innovation.
