In the framework of the international congress Libraries & Digital Humanities: Projects and Challenges (13-16 September 2022), organised by the UNED, in collaboration with DARIAH, REBIUN and the LINHD, Nuria Rodríguez Ortega made a presentation of the semantic model OntoExhibit which has been developed in the framework of the research projects Open and linked data ecosystem of the cultural sub-sector of art exhibitions: ontological formalisation, technological solutions and exploitation models for the generation of knowledge and value in the field of CCIs. (PY20_00508) and  Design of an ontology-driven semantic model of the domain of art exhibitions for the generation of knowledge and value in the field of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI)., funded by the Junta de Andalucía.

OntoExhibit is presented as an ontology in OWL2 in the field of art exhibitions for the production of RDF data and its publication in LOD. OntoExhibit will serve as a basis for the generation of a knowledge graph on this cultural sector.

During her presentation, Nuria Rodríguez Ortega, PI of both projects, raised the conceptual and epistemological problems that the development of a semantic model of these characteristics is posing and the solutions that are being adopted to increase its expressiveness and semantic potential. He also introduced the notion of hyper-complex cultural system, The theoretical model that is being used as the basis for the modelling of this cultural domain is the same as the theoretical model that is being used as the basis for the modelling of this cultural domain.
