6th HDH Congress. Encounters and transformations: Digital Humanities as a transdisciplinary proposal.

Congress

The International Society of Hispanic Digital Humanities (HDH), together with the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) held the VI Congress of the International Society of Hispanic Digital Humanities. Encounters and transformations: Digital Humanities as a transdisciplinary proposal in Logroño (Spain). In this context, Nuria Rodríguez Ortega, M.ª Mar Roldán, M.ª Luisa Díez Platas and Martín Salvachúa, presented the Complexhibit project, as an example of transdisciplinarity, an essential requirement for the Digital Humanities. In addition, María Ortiz Tello and Manuela García Lirio, research staff of the project, together with the PIs, participated with their conference "Automatic labelling of exhibition catalogues for the extraction of characteristics and entities", research included in the project. The final colophon of the general congress was in charge of Nuria Rodríguez Ortega, with her closing conference on "Generative Humanities".

In this way, the Complexhibit was highlighted together with those initiatives and results as examples of encounters between disciplines, which transcend their limits, generating new knowledge, with the aim of transforming them.
