El tema de este a\u00f1o fue la transgresi\u00f3n y la liminalidad, con presentaciones que abarcan diversos per\u00edodos y geograf\u00edas. Las 19 ponencias, de 14 instituciones acad\u00e9micas, abordar\u00f3n desde movimientos art\u00edsticos tradicionales hasta las fronteras de la mente y el cuerpo, la religi\u00f3n y las normas sociales. Se discutieron temas sobre arte y pol\u00edtica, circulaci\u00f3n de artefactos, tradiciones visuales en distintos medios y per\u00edodos, cuestiones de identidad, patrimonio cultural y modernidad. El simposio cont\u00f3 con una conferencia principal de la Dra. Laura Fern\u00e1ndez-Gonz\u00e1lez de la Universidad de Lincoln. Entre ellas, la componente del equipo de investigaci\u00f3n B\u00e1rbara Romero-Ferr\u00f3n (Western University, Canada), mostr\u00f3 su investigaci\u00f3n sobre \u00abCuantificaci\u00f3n del concepto de arte espa\u00f1ol en el Reino Unido del siglo XIX.
