is a research project that seeks to understand the universe of art exhibitions from the perspective of the <strong data-start=\"302\" data-end=\"335\">complex cultural systems<\/strong>. Its aim is to reveal how exhibitions are configured, transformed and produce meaning, understood not only as isolated cultural events, but also as a <strong data-start=\"496\" data-end=\"518\">dynamic framework<\/strong> of institutions, people, objects, infrastructures, discourses and ideas in constant interaction.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"621\" data-end=\"1255\">For this purpose, we combine the methods of the <strong data-start=\"669\" data-end=\"690\">History of Art<\/strong> with those of the <strong data-start=\"706\" data-end=\"818\">Complexity Sciences, Data Science, Natural Language Processing and Network Science<\/strong>The project is developing technologies capable of extracting, organising and analysing information from catalogues, art reviews and specialised repositories. This hybridisation is not allowing to build <strong data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1045\">mathematical and conceptual models<\/strong>as well as developing technological tools for the <strong data-start=\"1102\" data-end=\"1147\">large-scale multidimensional analysis<\/strong> of the exhibition ecosystem, which will facilitate the visualisation and understanding of its operating dynamics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1947\">The main outcome will be <strong data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1305\">Complexhibit 1.0<\/strong>The project is an open knowledge system that will integrate structured and linked open data (Linked Open Data) on exhibitions, catalogues and critical texts. This digital infrastructure will be available to the academic community as well as to cultural institutions and social agents, thus favouring the <strong data-start=\"1608\" data-end=\"1668\">reuse of data, transfer of knowledge<\/strong> and the promotion of new lines of research in the field of <strong data-start=\"1736\" data-end=\"1784\">Digital Humanities and Art History<\/strong>. Producing knowledge from a Complexity Sciences approach <\/b>on the configuration, structures, networks, interactions, dynamics of transformation-evolution and logics of behaviour of the exhibition system in Spain, fundamentally that associated with contemporary art, in its socio-institutional and semantic-discursive dimensions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>3. Develop a technological system for the automatic and structured extraction of the heterogeneous information conveyed by the catalogues. <\/b>of art exhibitions so that we can: <b>a)<\/b> efficiently increase the quantity and variety of the dataset already registered with Expofinder; and <b>b)<\/b> develop a linguistic corpus based on texts associated with art exhibitions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>2. To develop a technological system for the capture, compilation and description with specific meta-information of art criticism texts, <\/b>published in digital format, related to the exhibitions held in the period under analysis.<b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>3. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/b>Based on the information provided by the technological models indicated in specific objectives 1 and 2, <b>building a linguistic corpus <\/b>analysable through PLN methodologies that allow us to extract the semantics, concept networks, argumentative strategies and other implicit and not directly evident knowledge present in the corpus texts. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>4.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Implement a thesaurus in SKOS-Core on curatorial discourses and narratives. <\/b>so that it can complement the semantic-linguistic analysis carried out on the corpus texts and can also be integrated into the ontological reference model.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>5.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Extend and consolidate the Expofinder corpus.<\/b> in order to cover the chronological arc 2007-2020 and to incorporate the register of the works exhibited in the exhibitions. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>6.<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><b>Conduct an analysis of the exhibition system <\/b>in the aforementioned period in order to extract, through analysis strategies from Data Science, Network Science and PLN, knowledge that will allow us to better understand its configuration and behaviour as a hyper-complex cultural system. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>7.<\/b> <b>Undertake the<\/b> <b>design and formalisation of conceptual and mathematical models<\/b> specifically designed to characterise and analyse behaviours and dynamics that are specific to the exhibition field. This will build an unpublished corpus of texts and structured data associated with the exhibition system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ontological modelling<\/strong>The modelling of the <strong>OntoExhibit<\/strong>an ontology designed to formalise in a precise way the different dimensions of the exhibition field (actors, works, discourses, contexts, etc.).
